Business Closure COVID-19

Further information for all buyers & vendors

As previously announced, the company has taken the decision to close the business with immediate effect, in line with government advice and request. This means our scheduled sale on 11th April will be postponed until further notice.

We understand this will cause some disruption and confusion to buyers and vendors, below we will explain what we plan to do:

For buyers that still have an outstanding bill to pay from our last sale:

Most customers have paid already, but for those that haven't we ask you to please settle your invoice before the end of this week- this can now be done via phone (may experience delays), email or bank transfer. If you are unable to collect your items before Thursday this week, we will store them for you until the restrictions have been lifted by the government. Please be mindful that we will need your buyers account settled by the end of this week to successfully release all Vendor payouts without delay. If you are experiencing any problems with this, then please contact us via email.

For vendors that are awaiting payment from our last sale:

We aim to remain to schedule and release all vendor payouts over the next 2 weeks- we are doing these from home. If we do not have bank details for you, you will automatically receive a cheque. Due to the restrictions put in place, we realise that a cheque will not suit some individuals, so if you prefer bank transfer and we don't have your bank details please send us your account number, sort code, account name and bank name via email.

Any unsold items, will automatically be relisted for our next sale if they have only previously appeared in one sale. If the items have appeared in two sales and remain unsold we will advise for collection when we re-open.

For vendors that have submitted items for our upcoming sale:

As our scheduled sale has been postponed there will be a delay in the auction of your item/s. We are unsure when we will be able to proceed with our sale at this current time. Behind the scenes we have been busy building the catalogue for this auction and we will continue to do so until its completion. Our aim is to have the catalogue finalised shortly, ready for an immediate auction as soon as restrictions are lifted and we are able to re-open.

For all our customers:

If you require any further information please contact us via email where we will be able to answer your enquiries.

Please, follow government advice and guidelines to keep you and your families safe.

Take care, from all at Bowler & Binnie Auctioneers
